The classic play, set in a bustling Chicago newsroom, stars Broadway's Richard Kind (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Producers, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife) and Wayne Knight (Sweet Charity, Gemini, Art, television's "Seinfeld"). Additional casting includes Michael Braun, Tom Bloom, John Cariani, Amanda Leigh Cobb, Bill Cwikowski, Jason Butler Harner, Brian Hutchison, Ted Koch, Kathy McCafferty, Rod McLaughlan, Anne O’Sullivan, Joe Plummer, Matthew Rauch, Sean Patrick Reilly, Robert Stanton and Kay Walbye.

"In The Front Page," according to press notes, "the court press room is full of poker-playing reporters, all waiting to cover the execution of radical leftist Earl Williams. Top reporter Hildy Johnson is engaged and planning to leave the life of chasing headlines and move to New York. When Williams escapes from the inept Sheriff (Wayne Knight), Hildy's scheming editor - Walter Burns (Richard Kind) - tempts Johnson to stay and write the story."

Ron Daniels directs. Rounding out the creative team are Linda Cho (costumes), Charles Foster (lighting), Riccardo Hernandez (scenic design) and Nick Borisjuk (sound design).

The Front Page runs through July 15 at Williamstown Theatre Festival. Tickets are available at wtfestival.org and the box office, (413) 597-3400.
