Richard Kline, who recently took on the role of Old Joe in the national tour of Waitress, will reprise his performance on Broadway beginning July 24. He steps in for Larry Marshall, who joins the traveling company himself for a limited engagement before returning to the Brooks Atkinson Theatre August 20.

Kline, best known for playing Larry on the sitcom Three's Company, made his Broadway debut in City of Angels and toured for over a year as the Wizard in Wicked. He also took on the title role in the American premiere of Andrew Lloyd Weber’s By Jeeves at both Goodspeed Opera and The Kennedy Center.

The current cast also includes Alison Luff and Mark Evans, who took their first bows as Jenna and Dr. Pomatter July 23, as well as Caitlin Houlahan as Dawn, Noah Galvin as Ogie, Charity Angel Dawson as Becky, Ben Thompson as Earl, and Benny Elledge as Cal. As previously announced, YouTube stars Colleen Ballinger (a.k.a. Miranda Sings) and Todrick Hall (an alum of Kinky Boots and Chicago) are also slated to join the Sara Bareilles musical this summer, playing Dawn and Ogie August 20 through September 15.

The musical is slated to play its final Broadway performance January 5, 2020.
