News Richard Kline Will Join Harriet Harris and Tyne Daly In New Musical It Shoulda Been You Richard Kline, best known as Larry on the classic sitcom "Three’s Company," will join the previously reported Tony Award winners Harriet Harris (Thoroughly Modern Millie, "Desperate Housewives") and Tyne Daly (Master Class, Gypsy) as well as veteran actor Edward Hibbert (The Drowsy Chaperone) in the George Street Playhouse's upcoming world premiere of the new musical It Shoulda Been You.

Kline, the actor told Playbill.com, will play Tyne Daly's husband Murray.

Directed by David Hyde Pierce, performances are scheduled to begin at the New Jersey venue Oct. 4 with an official opening Oct. 14. Performances will continue through Nov. 6.

The new musical features book and lyrics by Brian Hargrove and music by Barbara Anselmi.

It Shoulda Been You is billed as "a musical comedy for anyone with parents. The bride is Jewish. The groom is Catholic. Her mother (played by Ms. Daly), is a force of nature, his mother (played by Ms. Harris) is a tempest in a cocktail shaker. And when the bride’s ex-boyfriend shows up, the perfect wedding starts to unravel faster than you can whistle 'Here Comes the Bride!' Plots are hatched, pacts are made, secrets exposed – and the sister of the bride is left to turn a tangled mess into happily ever after."

Richard Kline is best known for his work on TV's "Three's Company." On Broadway he has appeared in November, City of Angels and on tour in Wicked, Do I Hear a Waltz?, Oliver! and Jake's Women. George Street Playhouse is located at 9 Livingston Avenue. For ticket information visit GSPonline.org.
