News Ringwald, Biggs, Harris and Bierko Open in Modern Orthodox Dec. 6 Molly Ringwald, Jason Biggs, Jenn Harris and Craig Bierko star in the Off-Broadway premiere of Daniel Goldfarb's Modern Orthodox, opening Dec. 6 following previews from Nov. 11 at the 499-seat Dodger Stages at Worldwide Plaza.

Playwright Goldfarb has also written Adam Baum and the Jew Movie, which won the 2000 NY Newsday Oppenheimer Award. Goldfarb's Sarah, Sarah was presented at the Manhattan Theatre Club this past spring. Modern Orthodox has been seen at Long Wharf Theatre, where it had its world premiere. Biggs stars as "lovable schmuck" Hershel Klein. James Lapine directs the play, which concerns the effects Biggs' character has "on a young Jewish couple of lapsed faith."

Molly Ringwald made her Broadway debut as Sally Bowles in the Tony-winning revival of Cabaret and also appeared in last season's Enchanted April. She starred Off-Broadway in Jonathan Larson's tick, tick . . . BOOM!. Ringwald is best known for such films as "Pretty in Pink" and "Sixteen Candles."

Bierko made his mark in New York theatre as the Tony-nominated Harold Hill in the recent Broadway revival of The Music Man. Shortly after, he starred in the short-lived musical Thou Shalt Not. Off-Broadway stints include Fired!

Jason Biggs is the "American Pie" star who played Benjamin Braddock in Broadway's The Graduate.

Harris is a veteran of the Williamstown Theatre Festival, having acted there in God of Vengeance, The Winter’s Tale, Once in a Lifetime and Street Scene. In New York, she's been seen in Plank Project, Will You Please Shut Up and Pains of Youth.
