Stuart Ross will direct Superman, which features a score by Charles Strouse (music) and Lee Adams (lyrics) and a book by David Newman and Robert Benton. The musical, according to press notes, is described thusly: "A reporter is out to uncover his identity, while another girl is trying to steal him away from Lois, and meanwhile, an evil mad scientist is trying to take over the world.
