News Road Trip: An American Travelogue in Song Will Feature Songs of Sondheim, Berlin, Mitchell Singers from the Juilliard School will perform Road Trip: An American Travelogue in Song Jan. 12, 2011, at 8 PM at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center.

The free event will feature soprano Meredith Lustig; mezzo-sopranos Lacey Jo Benter and Naomi O’Connell; tenor Daniel Curran; and baritones Tobias Greenhalgh, Will Liverman and Timothy J. McDevitt. The singers will be directed by Stephen Blier, choreographed by Jeanne Slater and accompanied on piano by Michael Barrett. Juilliard will co-present the evening with the New York Festival of Song (NYFOS).

Audiences can expect to hear songs by Irving Berlin, Hoagy Carmichael, Joni Mitchell, Randy Newman, Arthur Schwartz, Stephen Sondheim, Kurt Weill and others. The songs will cover American regions "from New England to the deep South, and from the Midwest to Texas and California," according to Juilliard notes.
