The company is led by Martin Kaye as Jerry Lee Lewis, Benjamin D. Hale as Johnny Cash, Tyler Hunter as Elvis Presley and Robert Britton Lyons as Carl Perkins with Marc Donovan as Sam Phillips, Felice Garcia as Dyanne and musicians Jim Belk and Mikey Hachey.

Other cast members include Jacob Tolliver, Luke Darnell, Larry "Cole" Cole, Tony Sandrew, Stephanie Mason, Mark Ferratt and Josh Jones.

Eric Schaeffer (Follies) staged the 90-minute Broadway musical based on the real-life 1956 recording that Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis made at Sun Records' studio in Memphis. Million Dollar Quartet has a book by Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux; the latter conceived and originally directed the musical.

The show won a Tony Award (for Featured Actor Levi Kreis, as Lewis) and received Tony nominations for Best Musical and Best Book of a Musical, a Drama Desk nomination for Outstanding Musical Revue and three Drama League nominations including Distinguished Production of a Musical and two Distinguished Performance nominations.

Million Dollar Quartet debuted in Chicago and later arrived on Broadway in 2010. The New York production later transferred Off-Broadway, where it ended its run in June 2011. Million Dollar Quartet, according to press notes, "takes place on December 4, 1956, when an extraordinary twist of fate brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley together. Sam Phillips, the 'Father of Rock 'n' Roll' who was responsible for launching the careers of each superstar, brought the four legendary musicians together at the Sun Records storefront studio in Memphis for the first and only time.…[The musical] brings that legendary December night to life with the extraordinary story of secrets, betrayal, and the once in a lifetime celebration of four friends that is both poignant and funny."

Songs featured in the musical include "Blue Suede Shoes," "I Walk the Line," "Great Balls of Fire," "Sixteen Tons," "Who Do You Love?," "Fever," "Folsom Prison Blues," "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On," "Hound Dog" and more.
