News Roberts and Cecil Engage in Duel of Wits in Bay Street's Sleuth July 12 Tony Roberts and Derek Cecil star in the Bay Street Theatre's production of Sleuth, Anthony Shaffer's popular, two-hander thriller about sexual rivalry and gamesmanship between two men.

It will play July 12-July 31 at the Sag Harbor, Long Island theatre. Will Frears directs. Broadway and Off-Broadway veteran Roberts' recent credits include Endgame at Irish Rep and The Tale of the Allergist's Wife. Roberts will star in Broadway's Barefoot in the Park in 2006. Cecil is a graduate of the American Conservatory Theatre and has performed at Urban Theatre, the Williamstown Theatre Festival and the American Conservatory Theatre.

Sleuth concerns a writer, Andrew Wyke (Roberts), who decides to seek revenge on callow hairdresser Milo Tindle (Cecil), who stole his wife away. After luring the younger man to his country home, the two rivals indulge in twisted gamesmanship, deception and disguises to prove who is the better man. Anthony Quayle and Keith Baxter starred in the original Broadway production.
