News   Robin Givens to Join Broadway's Chicago in 2006 Actress and former model Robin Givens will become Broadway's newest Roxie Hart in 2006.

On Jan. 16 the star of TV's "Head of the Class" will join the New York company of the Kander and Ebb musical. Givens is scheduled to stay with the production through March 26.

Robin Givens has been seen on television in "The Bill Cosby Show," "Moesha," "Diff'rent Strokes," "In the House," "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," "Cosby," "DAG" and "Head of the Class." She appeared in the TV movies "Beverly Hills Madam," "Michael Jordan: An American Hero," "Spinning Out of Control" and "The Women of Brewster Place." Givens' film credits include "Boomerang," "Head of State," "Flip the Script," "Hollywood Wives: The New Generation," "Everything's Jake," "4-Bidden," "Love Chronicles" and "A Good Night To Die."

Chicago currently features Charlotte d'Amboise as Roxie Hart, Luba Mason as Velma Kelly, P.J. Benjamin as Amos Hart, Debra Monk as Matron "Mama" Morton and Christopher McDonald as Billy Flynn.

Chicago won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical in 1997 as well as awards for actors Bebe Neuwirth and James Naughton, director Walter Bobbie, lighting designer Ken Billington and choreographer Ann Reinking. The original production was directed and choreographed by the late Bob Fosse.

Chicago plays the Ambassador Theatre, located at 215 West 49th Street.
