News Rock Doves, By Stones in His Pockets' Jones, to Debut in September A new work from Stones in His Pockets playwright Marie Jones will debut this fall at the Irish Arts Center.

The New York Times reports that Rock Doves will make its world premiere at the West Side venue beginning Sept. 6. Ian McElhinney, who directed Stones on Broadway, will helm Doves as well. McElhinney and Jones are husband and wife.

The play, according to Smarttix.com, is described as such: "Set in present day Belfast, Rock Doves is the story of four colorful characters – a knacker, an aging prostitute, a transvestite and a teenager – who rely on each other and the worlds they have created for themselves – as they navigate the strange new forces of 'post-war' Northern Ireland."

The production is currently scheduled to run through Oct. 14.

Jones' one-person play, A Night in November, played the Irish Arts Center in April 2006. The play previously ran at the Irish Arts Center in early 1998, and then again later that year at the Douglas Fairbanks Theatre on W. 42nd Street. Stones in His Pockets played Broadway's John Golden Theatre March 23, 2001-Sept. 23, 2001.

The Irish Arts Center is located in Manhattan at 553 West 51st Street. For more information visit www.irishartscenter.org.
