Joey Murray (The Gallery) penned the work — described as a modern burlesque fairytale — that features music by Rob Baunmgartner (Adam Lives) and lyrics by Heidi Heilig. The Hole will run through Sept. 18 under the direction of Sam Schechtman.
Press notes for The Hole read: "Two best friends walk into a bar. One to work. One to play. A hard rock odyssey which explores the absolution we all seek in bars, in bed and on the therapist's couch. The Hole. Some tales have no morals."
The cast includes playwright Joey Murray as well as Alex Michaels, Amy Elaine Warner, Joey Calveri, Ari Gold, Kaitlin Monte, Kako Kitano, Xavier Rice, Stephanie Spano, Carolyn Montgomery, Melissa Grochowski, Jacques Mitchell, Jennifer Anderson, Nicole Dalto and Scott Martin.
