News Rock of Ages' Rock the Red Carpet Contest Offers Tickets to Advance Movie Screening In anticipation of the upcoming movie musical “Rock of Ages,” which will hit movie theatres June 15, the Broadway cast of Rock of Ages has launched the Rock the Red Carpet Sweepstakes.

Following each Broadway performance of Rock of Ages at the Helen Hayes Theatre from May 11-June 3, cast members will give away two tickets to the New York red carpet screening of the film, which will take place June 12.

Each winner will also be entered into a Grand Prize drawing, which will take place June 3. One winner will be selected to attend the June 8 movie premiere of “Rock of Ages” in Los Angeles. In addition to receiving two passes to the premiere, the winner will receive round-trip airfare to L.A., hotel accommodations, transportation and a cash prize of $300 for additional expenses.

Adam Shankman directs and choreographs the star-studded Warner Bros./New Line feature that filmed this year in Miami.

"Rock of Ages" stars Tom Cruise as Stacee Jaxx, Malin Akerman as Constance, Russell Brand as Lonny, Diego González Boneta as Drew, Alec Baldwin as Dennis, Julianne Hough as Sherrie Christian, Mary J. Blige as Justice, Paul Giamatti as the manager of the rock band, Bryan Cranston as The Mayor and Tony winner Catherine Zeta-Jones as the wife of the mayor.

The musical, which uses hits from the 1980s as its score, premiered Off-Broadway at New World Stages in October 2008 and transferred to the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Broadway in March 2009. Rock of Ages earned five Tony nominations including Best Musical, Best Direction, and Best Actor for Constantine Maroulis. The production is currently playing at the Helen Hayes Theatre.
