News "Rock of Ages" Star Mary J. Blige Will Team Up With Director Adam Shankman for Livestream Concert Grammy winner Mary J. Blige, who will be seen in the upcoming Rock of Ages film adaptation, is the latest performer in the "American Express Unstaged" livestream music series. The performance will be livestreamed Nov. 17 from Club Nokia in Los Angeles at 11 PM ET.

The performance, which can be found at www.youtube.com/MaryJBligeVEVO and is also available via VEVO and YouTube apps for iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and Android, is presented by American Express, in partnership with VEVO and YouTube.

The event precedes the Nov. 21 release of Blige's new album, "My Life II…The Journey Continues (Act I)."

"American Express Unstaged" brings together popular musical artists with renowned film directors. Blige will be paired with "Rock of Ages" director Adam Shankman ("Hairspray"), who will provide fans with a "visually stunning digital viewing and in-venue experience." The event is the seventh installment in the "American Express Unstaged" music series and the first solo artist performance.

"I can’t wait to share in this amazing experience with fans around the world as they join me on a timeless journey of celebration and reflection," said Blige in a statement. "I’m really looking forward to immersing myself in Adam Shankman's creative vision for an unforgettable 'American Express Unstaged' performance."

"American Express Unstaged" has featured such musicians as Arcade Fire, John Legend & The Roots, Sugarland, Duran Duran, My Morning Jacket and Coldplay. Additionally, the "American Express Unstaged" performance will include pre-show, in-concert and post-show features including behind-the-scenes footage with Blige and Shankman, a global chat during the concert and additional broadcasts.
