The 24th annual Rockers on Broadway: Legends Live On! fundraising concert will honor Tom Viola, executive director of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, with its Lifetime Achievement Award.
Hosted by The Path Fund Inc., the November 13 concert at NYC's Le Poisson Rouge will feature Broadway actors rocking out to classic American rock ’n’ roll, as a benefit for BC/EFA and other non-profit performing arts education programs.
Hosted by Broadway Sessions’ Ben Cameron and directed by Rockers creator Donnie Kehr (Jersey Boys), the concert will feature performances by Broadway stars to be announced in the coming weeks. This year’s concert will pay tribute to legendary rockers who have passed on.
Viola said, “Like best friends from the childhood, there are groups that come up and grow with you, side by side, who are both a marker and a great part of the foundation of any organization’s success. The Path Fund and their eagerly anticipated, yearly event Rockers on Broadway are just such friends to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The good will that infuses their work that supports BC/EFA and arts education programs galvanizes the community year-round, long after the last power chord has played.”
General admission tickets cost $100 and standing room tickets are available for $25. VIP table seating costs $325 for a single ticket, $625 for a table for two, and $2,500 for a table of eight. Tickets can be ordered at Rockersonbroadway.com.
