Rockers on Broadway, the annual benefit concert that features Broadway performers rocking out with a live band, will return November 12 in a special celebration of its 25th anniversary.

Founded in 1993 by The Who’s Tommy cast member Donnie Kehr, Rockers on Broadway will honor Tony Award winner Michael Cerveris, who made his Broadway debut in the rock musical by Pete Townshend and The Who. Cerveris, who was Tony-nominated for his performance in Tommy, will receive the Lifetime Achievement in Theatre Award.

The event at (Le) Poisson Rouge will also honor Bad Company and Free drummer Simon Kirke.

The 8 PM concert will include a special tribute to the 25th anniversary of The Who’s Tommy, featuring members of the original Broadway cast. A lineup of performers will be announced shortly.

Proceeds benefit The PATH Fund, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and arts education programs with Broadway Bound Kids. Since the inception of Rockers in 1993 and PATH in 2007, over a half million dollars has been raised for performing arts charities.

Tickets are now on sale at rockersonbroadway.com and at lepoissonrouge.com.
