Presented as part of the art of Peccadillo's ongoing reading series "The Plays-You-Should-Know-But-Probably-Don't," the reading is helmed by Peccadillo artistic director Dan Wackerman and features Tony nominees Jonathan Hadary (Gypsy, Awake and Sing), Liz Larsen (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, The Most Happy Fella) and Lou Liberatore (Burn This, "It's My Party") as well as Jason Kravits (The Drowsy Chaperone, "The Practice"), Larry Bull (The Coast of Utopia), Lora Lee Gayer (Follies), Michael Keyloun and Stephen Wilde.

"Rocket to the Moon is set in the oppressive heat of a stifling New York summer, where the waiting room of Ben Stark's dental practice serves as the backdrop to his mid-life crisis as he attempts to escape the confines of his life by having an affair with his secretary, Cleo," press notes state. "In the play, Odets develops many of the themes familiar to his audience from his earlier and more overtly political work: economic pressures, the ability of the individual to rise above his circumstances, and the effects of personal responsibility on ambition."
