Rob Ruggiero, who staged Looped and High on Broadway, will helm the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine. It will run through Jan. 29, 2012.

Additional casting — including the role of Dot, Seurat's muse — has not been announced.

Bohmer has appeared on Broadway in A Little Night Music, Ragtime, The Woman in White, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Fiddler on the Roof and Les Miserables. He also starred in the national tours of Sunset Boulevard and The Phantom of the Opera.

Here's how the Rep bills the musical: "Shimmering with love and light, this unique, inventive musical is one of the most acclaimed shows of our time. Inspired by the life and work of enigmatic 19th century impressionist painter Georges Seurat, this Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece explores the complexity of life and the art of understanding it. Stephen Sondheim’s soaring score and insightful lyrics intertwine with Seurat’s distinctive art to create a moving, poetic drama, dot by dot."
