News Rosie O'Donnell's New Talk Show Canceled Rosie O'Donnell's new talk show, "The Rosie Show," has been canceled, according to Deadline.com.

The hour-long talk show, which premiered on the OWN Network in December 2011, will tape its final program March 20 for a March 30 broadcast.

In a statement Oprah Winfrey said, “I thank Rosie from the bottom of my heart for joining me on this journey. She has been an incredible partner, working to deliver the best possible show every single day. As I have learned in the last 15 months, a new network launch is always a challenge and ratings grow over time as you continue to gather an audience. I’m grateful to Rosie and the dedicated Rosie Show team for giving it their all.”

O'Donnell added, “I loved working with Oprah in the amazing city of Chicago. I was welcomed with open arms and will never forget the kindness of all I encountered. It was a great year for me – I wish the show was able to attract more viewers – but it did not. So I am headed back to my home in New York – with gratitude. On we go!”

"The Rosie Show" filmed in Chicago at Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Studios. The program, which recently did away with its game show segment, had also begun to air more on-on-one interviews. The chat show, according to Variety, averaged 204,000 viewers last month. O'Donnell's first, award-winning talk show, "The Rosie O'Donnell Show," was filmed in Manhattan.

Rosie O'Donnell made her Broadway debut as Rizzo in the 1994 revival of Grease!, played a limited engagement as the Cat in the Hat in the Ahrens-Flaherty musical Seussical, and portrayed Golde in the recent revival of Fiddler on the Roof. The performer also spent some time on the other side of the footlights as producer of the Broadway version of Boy George's Taboo. O'Donnell rose to fame as a stand-up comic before landing roles in such films as "A League of Their Own," "Sleepless in Seattle," "The Flintsones" and "Exit to Eden." Her Emmy-winning talk show, "The Rosie O'Donnell Show," ran from 1996 to 2001, and her more recent TV credits include appearances on "Will & Grace" and "Queer as Folk" as well as the made-for-television movie "Riding the Bus with My Sister" and the cable series "Nip/Tuck." She also spent a year as co-host of ABC-TV's "The View."
