Forever Plaid, that popular musical comedy about four dead harmony singers who return to earth for a second chance, were granted another new chance, via Stuart Ross' Forever Plaid — A Special Holiday Edition, and are proving just as popular. This new Plaid has extended through Dec. 23 in its world premiere engagement written especially for Pasadena Playhouse.

Leo Daignault, John-Michael Flate, Steve Gunderson and Michael Winther, all Plaid alumni, return as Jinx, Smudge, Sparky and Frankie, the Plaids, an early rock 'n' roll group killed in an accident right before their career-making concert. Ross has brought them back in the Holiday Edition to add their doo-wop tones to "Sleigh Ride," "Winter Wonderland" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."

Ross wrote, directed and choreographed the original production of Forever Plaid, as well as productions across the United States, Canada and in London's West End. He recently premiered The Boswell Sisters at San Diego's Old Globe Theatre and is at work on the Keith Harring musical, Radiant Baby. Ross was Tony-nominated for Starmites.

The Pasadena Playhouse is located at 39 South El Molino Avenue. For reservations, call (800) 233 3123. The Pasadena Playhouse is on the web at http://www.pasadenaplayhouse.org.
