Roundabout Theatre Company will present Spring Gala 2016: Celebrating 50 Years of Extraordinary Theatre Feb. 29. The evening, hosted by Nathan Lane, will celebrate the company's achievements and recognize the accomplishments of Audra McDonald and Roundabout’s chairman of the board Tom Tuft.
Each will be presented with The Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre at a ceremony in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria, New York. The evening will begin at 7 PM with dinner and a live auction, followed by a musical tribute, hosted by Tony winner Lane and directed by Scott Ellis.
McDonald, who was named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people, has won Tony Awards for her roles in Carousel, Master Class, Ragtime, A Raisin in the Sun, The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess and Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill.
