News Roundabout Sets Dates for World Premiere About Female Soldier Returning from Afghanistan The Roundabout Theatre's Underground initiative launches its ninth season with the world premiere of Ugly Lies the Bone, by Lindsey Ferrentino, to be directed by Patricia McGregor.

Previews will begin Sept. 10 at the Roundabout's Black Box Theatre. The cast and creative team will be announced at a later date.

Ferrentino's play focuses on newly discharged soldier Jess and her return to her Florida hometown. As Jess advances farther in the game, she begins to restore her relationships, her life and, slowly, herself."

Patricia McGregor has directed Off-Broadway at the Lincoln Center, BAM, Second Stage and the Public.

Ugly Lies the Bone was recently honored with a Citation of Excellence from the Laurents/Hatcher Award.
