The Roundabout Theatre Company confirms that it has conducted workshop productions of two musicals, Rodgers and Hart's The Boys from Syracuse and Sondheim and Weidman's Assassins, but that no plans have been finalized to present either show.

In any case, a Roundabout spokesperson told Playbill On Line, it would be very unlikely for either to be staged this season. When and if the plays are produced, Assassins could be done Off-Broadway. The show ran at Playwrights Horizons during the 1990-91 season.

Roundabout head Todd Haimes had been quoted as saying Assassins would appear in either this season or next and that Syracuse might inaugurate the 2001-02 season.
