Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of The Rainmaker which opened with a "splash" at the Brooks Atkinson Nov. 11, will close as scheduled Jan. 22.

Scott Ellis directs the revival of N. Richard Nash's classic. Rainmaker stars Woody Harrelson -- in his Broadway debut -- as Starbuck, and Jayne Atkinson as Lizzie. Also featured in the cast are David Aaron Baker, John Bedford Lloyd, Jerry Hardin, Randle Mell, and Bernie McInerney.

Rainmaker is the story of the handsome dreamer, Bill Starbuck, who arrives at the H.C. Curry farm just in time to distract everyone -- especially Curry's daughter, Lizzie -- from the prolonged drought they have been suffering.
