News RSC's Boyd Will Speak at New York Public Library June 20 The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts will present an afternoon with Royal Shakespeare Company artistic director Michael Boyd June 20.

The 3 PM event is titled "Making Theater and New Communities: A Talk by Michael Boyd." Boyd, according to press notes, will discuss "the principles of ensemble theater making and their relevance to contemporary life and politics – exploring creativity and development over time, over immediate exploitation of talent." Boyd recently directed Shakespeare's History cycle with a single company of 34 actors playing all 264 roles.

The event will be held in the Bruno Walter Auditorium, located within The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts' Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center at 40 Lincoln Center Plaza. Admission is free on a first-come, first-served basis.
