Les Waters, who staged the world premiere of In the Next Room at Berkeley Rep, will direct the Broadway premiere. Previews will begin Oct. 22 with an official opening scheduled for Nov. 19.

In the Next Room or the vibrator play, according to press notes, "is a comedy about marriage, intimacy and electricity which had its world premiere this past winter at Berkeley Repertory Theatre." The seven-member cast will be announced shortly.

In the Next Room marks the Broadway debut of playwright Ruhl, who has authored the acclaimed plays Eurydice, The Clean House and Dead Man's Cell Phone.

The Lyceum Theatre is located in Manhattan at 149 West 45th Street.
