Rita McKenzie, who is currently co-starring Off-Broadway in the acclaimed revival of Ruthless!, will bring her long-running tribute to Ethel Merman to Feinstein's/54 Below cabaret in New York next month.

Ethel Merman's Broadway will be presented Oct. 27 at 7 PM as a benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

The evening, according to press notes, is described as "a love letter to the life and times of Ethel Merman, the Queen of Broadway’s Golden Age. Ms. McKenzie brings to life more than 16 of the greatest hits of Broadway in this thrilling show which recalls the glorious days of the Great White Way and its brightest Star."

Written by Christopher Powich and McKenzie and directed by Powich, the benefit is being produced by Evan Sacks with musical direction by David Snyder.

From the late 1920s into the 1960s, Merman was one of Broadway's most iconic stars, toplining the original productions of such classic musicals as Gypsy, Anything Goes, Girl Crazy and Annie Get Your Gun.

Tickets start at $40 (including open bar) and are available at www.54Below.com.
