The Center Theatre Group production will officially open June 24 at the Kirk Douglas Theatre for a run through July 15. Michael Pressman directs.

Alan Rosenberg plays Doc, a man "who is caught in a hapless, 25-year marriage" with Lola (Merkerson). "Lola," press materials continue, "opens their home to a fresh faced young boarder and soon the precarious balance of the couple's relationship is shaken by [her] youthful sexuality and vivaciousness."

Merkerson ("Law & Order," "Lackawanna Blues") and Rosenberg ("L.A. Law," "Cybill") are joined in the ensemble by Roger Aaron Brown, Josh Cooke, Michael Dempsey, Jenna Gavigan, Bill Heck, Lyle Kanouse, Joe Mahon, Brenda Wehle and Matthew J. Williamson.

The design team includes James Noone (set), Jennifer von Mayrhauser (costumes), Jane Cox (lighting) and Cricket S. Myers (sound). The production also features original music by Peter Golub.

Come Back, Little Sheba replaces the previously announced world premiere of A Waitress in Yellowstone, a new musical by David Mamet, which was postponed by CTG until next season. Rosenberg replaces the previously announced Bruce Davison (The Elephant Man, "X-Men"), who left the production due to an "unexpected scheduling conflict."
