Classic Arts News Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra Plays Free Concerts December 8-10 The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra will play five free concerts in and around the Twin Cities next weekend to thank local fans for their support.
In addition, the SPCO will play an invitation-only concert for members of the military and their families.

The orchestra will split into two ensembles for the concerts. One group will play Bach's Brandenburg Concertos Nos. 3 and 6 and excerpts from Mozart's Divertimento No. 11 and Handel's Water Music at Trinity Lutheran Church in Stillwater on December 8 at 7 p.m.; at St. Olaf Catholic Church in Minneapolis on December 9 at 10:45 a.m.; and at Hopkins High School in Hopkins on December 9 a 7 p.m.

The other group will play Brandenburg Concertos Nos. 4 and 5 and Corelli's Christmas Concerto at the SPCO Center in St. Paul on December 9 at 12 p.m. and at Faith Covenant Church in Burnsville at 2 p.m.

The concert for military families, in Stillwater on December 9, will include the fourth and fifth Brandenburg Concertos, excerpts from Handel's Messiah, and an arrangement of The Star-Spangled Banner.
