The windows at Saks Fifth Avenue in Manhattan will have a River City theme June 22-July 5, showing moments and characters from the classic American musical, The Music Man, currently in a hot Broadway revival.
Designed by Steven Swirczek (fashion manager) and Tim Wisgerhoff (production manager) for Saks, the six window displays depict Harold Hill, Marian the Librarian, Winthrop Paroo, the harmonizing quartet and other townfolk of Meredith Willson's Americana-rich tale of a boys' band uniform salesman who hoodwinks an Iowa town in 1912.
Music from the new cast album will be heard by window watchers.
Saks is on Fifth Avenue at 50th Street.
