"Morticia's Nails," for which Neuwirth teamed up with Essie Cosmetics, will be on sale starting July 19, and 100 percent of the profits will directly benefit the national nonprofit human services organization dedicated to helping all professionals in film, theatre, television, music, opera and dance.
Developed by Neuwirth and her husband, Chris Calkins, along with Essie Weingarten, president and founder of Essie Cosmetics, "Morticia's Nails" features "three thrilling, frighteningly perfect colors — Midnight Tango, Bone Chilling White and Blood Curdling Red — each selected and named by Ms. Neuwirth and inspired by her onstage counterpart," according to the May 27 announcement.
Neuwirth said, "I'm thrilled that we've partnered with Essie Cosmetics to create this wonderful item that's not only beautiful in-and-of itself, but will also benefit one of the most vital and worthwhile service organizations in our industry. This special edition is limited to 5,000 pieces, which we expect will generate well over $100,000 for The Actors Fund."
Retailing at $30 (per three-color set), Morticia's Nails is now available for online pre-ordering by visiting www.theaddamsfamilymusical.com.
Beginning July 19, the set will also be available for direct purchase at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street), where The Addams Family is playing, and online at www.actorsfund.org. For more about Essie Cosmetics, visit www.essie.com.
