News Sally Struthers, Gail Bennett, Michael Betts to Star in The Drowsy Chaperone in California Emmy Award-winning actress Sally Struthers will play Mrs. Tottendale in the 3D Theatricals production of the Tony Award-winning musical The Drowsy Chaperone, Feb. 11-27 at the Plummer Auditorium in Fullerton, CA.

TJ Dawson will direct a cast featuring Michael Betts as Man in Chair, Gail Bennett as Janet Van De Graff, Tracy Lore as The Drowsy Chaperone, Joseph Sark as Robert Martin, Danny Michaels as Underling, Carlos Martin as Aldolpho, Nicole Manly as Kitty, Amber Snead as Trix the Aviatrix, Justin Jones as Gangster #1, Juan Guillen as Gangster #2, Robert Ramirez as George and James Gruessing as Feldzieg.

Casey Garritano, Hannah Simmons and Jon M. Wailin will round out the ensemble.

The production will feature choreography by Kami Seymour and musical direction by Brett Simmons. Sharell Martin will design and coordinate costumes, Steven Young will design lighting, and Josh Bessom will design sound.

The Drowsy Chaperone, featuring a book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar and a score by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison, tells the story of Man in Chair, whose recording of the 1928 musical The Drowsy Chaperone comes to life in his apartment. Man in Chair inserts running commentary throughout the wacky tale of love, show business, disguise and intrigue.

Struthers is known for her Emmy-winning role as daughter Gloria on "All in the Family" and her many stage appearances throughout the country, including Curtains; Nunsense; Hello, Dolly!; Grease; Annie and others.
