News Sally Wilfert and Michael Winther Will Star in Reading of New Musical When We Met for the York Theatre Company The York Theatre Company will kick off its developmental NEO Reading Series with the new musical When We Met Oct. 21 at The York Theatre Company in Saint Peter's.

When We Met features a book by Dan Collins and music and lyrics by Julianne Wick Davis, based on an original concept by Davis, Sally Wilfert and Michael Winther.

Directed by Philip Himberg and with music direction by Charity Wicks, the two-member cast stars Wilfert and Winther. Show time is 8 PM.

"What happens when a quantum physicist and animal communicator meet on a disastrous blind date?" press notes ask. "When We Met follows Henry and Maggie – two middle-aged singles – who after a second-chance encounter spend their mismatched relationship wrestling theory, faith, a withholding cocker spaniel, and the most elusive intangible of them all: love."
