Classic Arts News Salvatore Licitra Cancels Tonight's Performance in Florida Tenor Salvatore Licitra has cancelled his solo concert tonight at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida. An announcement sent out by the Center late this morning stated that the singer is suffering from a bronchial infection.
The program, performed with pianist Warren Jones, was to have included Romantic-era operatic arias and Neapolitan songs. The concert will not be rescheduled; refunds or box office credit will be offered to ticketholders.

Licitra's next scheduled performance — of the same program — is this Saturday, January 6, at Segerstrom Concert Hall in Orange County, California. He is also due to take the role of Canio in five performances of I pagliacci at the Metropolitan Opera, beginning January 26.
