News Sam Harris, Maureen McGovern, Natalie Weiss, Kimberley Locke and More Set for Help is on the Way Benefit Help is on the Way, Northern California's largest annual AIDS benefit concert, will be held Aug. 5 at the Herbst Theatre in San Francisco. Tony Award nominee Sam Harris is among the performers.

David Galligan will direct the 7:30 PM performance, which will feature Grammy Award winner Helen Reddy, Carole Cook (42nd Street), David Engel (La Cage aux Folles), Harris (The Life, The Producers), Vicki Lewis (Damn Yankees), Kimberley Locke ("American Idol"), Maureen McGovern (Little Women), Jake Simpson ("Star Search"), Rex Smith (Pirates of Penzance), Lisa Vroman (The Phantom of the Opera), Natalie Weiss (Wicked national tour), jazz singers Tuck & Patti, cabaret singer Paula West, singing group B.O.O.B.S!, ballroom dancers John Navaez and Andrew Cervantes and the touring cast of Les Miserables. The event will honor Tom Nolan, former executive of Project Open Hand, with the Community Hero Award. Help is on the Way will also feature an extensive silent auction coinciding
with the pre-performance gala.
