Mendes, who founded and ran London's Donmar Warehouse for 10 years, is currently represented on Broadway by the Bernadette Peters revival of "Gypsy." The show recently announced it would close, then rescinded the order once ticket sales picked up. Mendes directed the films "American Beauty" and "The Road to Perdition." Also scheduled for the show is King Lear director Jonathan Miller.

The interview is set to air at 11 PM on WNET in New York, subject to change. Check your local listings.
