The Old Masters made its U.S. premiere at the Long Wharf Theatre in January and is aiming for a Broadway arrival with producers John Martello and Elliot Martin attached. Details for a Broadway run have not been announced.

The 7 PM readings will feature the original Long Wharf cast, including Waterston ("Law & Order," Have You Seen Us?), Tony nominee Murray (The Crucible, The Little Foxes), Tony Award winner Knight (Kennedy's Children, "Sweet Bird of Youth"), Rufus Collins (The Royal Family, An Ideal Husband) and Heidi Schreck (Circle Mirror Transformation).

The Old Masters, according to the Met, "is set in I Tatti, the famous villa of art historian Bernard Berenson, just outside Florence. The year is 1937 and Italy is under the menacing shadow of Mussolini. The play explores the turbulent relationship between Berenson [Waterston] and famed art dealer Lord Joseph Duveen [Murray], as they edge toward an explosive final encounter over the attribution of a painting, friendship, ethics, and death."

The 1937-set work premiered in London in 2004 under the direction of playwright Harold Pinter.
