SAN DIEGO -- The enchanted era between the conclusion of the Civil War and the beginning of the Roaring 20's is celebrated in Tintypes, the musical collage by Mary Kyte, Gary Pearle and Mel Marvin running through June 28 at the Old Globe Theatre.
A co-production with the Hartford Stage in Hartford, CT, the show is directed by Lynne Taylor-Corbett, who describes it as "a cosmic look at the turn of the century and a fluid, kaleidoscopic view through the aural history of song."
Corbett, who choreographed the Tony Award-winning Titanic on Broadway as well as the recent hit Jackie, is working with a cast that includes Rebecca Baxter, Jonathan Brody, David Masenheimer, Linda Mugleston and Vivian Reed.
Performances are Tues.-Sat. at 8 PM; Sun. at 7 PM, Sat. & Sun. matinees at 2 PM. Tickets cost $22- $39. Call (619) 239-2255.
