SAN DIEGO -- In a bid to attract new audiences, the Old Globe Theatre will reprise a popular discount ticket promotion for one week only, Feb. 22-27. Bring a ticket stub from any other theatre or cinema and receive half-price tickets to the Globe's world premiere production of Labor Day , A.R. Gurney's latest comedy, directed by Artistic Director Jack O'Brien. " Theatre Lovers' Week " was introduced during Festival '97. "We had such a positive response. . .that we wanted to give new patrons another opportunity to come to the Globe," said a company spokesperson. Patrons can also call Globe Ticket Services at (619) 239-2255 to purchase tickets; stubs from other venues must be shown when picking up tickets at the box office, which is open Tues.-Sun. noon to 8.30 PM; closed Mon.
