Uriarte Berry (The Light in the Piazza) portrays Sarah Brown alongside Burke Moses (Beauty and the Beast; Kiss Me, Kate) as Sky Masterson. Michele Ragusa (Urinetown, A Class Act) is Miss Adelaide, and Rick Hilsabeck (Bounce, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) portrays the loveable "nogoodnik" Nathan Detroit.
The Guys and Dolls of Runyonland are Roland Rusinek (Nicely Nicely Johnson), Noel Anthony (Benny Southstreet), Nathan Armstrong, Lindsey Bracco, Anne Buelteman (General Matilda B. Broadway veteran Stephen Bourneuf directs the production with choreography by Vince Pesce. Bourneuf and Pesce previously collaborated on "Tracey Ullman: Live and Exposed" for HBO, as well as the American Musical Theatre of San Jose's productions of West Side Story (starring Diana DeGarmo) and The King and I (starring Debby Boone).
Tony Walton, who won a Tony Award for his designs for the 1992 Broadway revival of Guys and Dolls, provides scenery with costume design by Tommy Marquez, lighting design by Karen Spahn, hair and make-up design by Sharon Ridge and sound design by Hage Van Dijk. William Liberatore will musical direct the production.
Guys and Dolls features music and lyrics by Frank Loesser with a book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. The popular musical is based on the stories and characters of American chronicler Damon Runyon. The original Broadway production, starring Robert Alda, Isabel Bigley, Sam Levene and Vivian Blaine, won five Tony Awards and ran for 1,200 performances. Blaine would re-create her role of Miss Adelaide for the film version alongside Frank Sinatra, Marlon Brando and Jean Simmons. The highly successful 1992 Broadway revival starred Nathan Lane, Faith Prince, Peter Gallagher and Josie de Guzman, running 1,143 performances.
