Tony- and Grammy Award-nominated songwriter Sara Bareilles, Fred Ebb Award-winning composer-lyricist Shaina Taub, pop songwriter Ingrid Michaelson (“Girls Chase Boys”), and Broadway conductor Georgia Stitt will make special appearances with The New York Pops orchestra at its November 17 concert, Women of Notes: In Dedication to Female Composers and Lyricists, at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Guest artist Betsy Wolfe, who is currently starring on Broadway in Bareilles’ musical Waitress, will take time off to perform in this 8 PM concert, which will be conducted by New York Pops Music Director Steven Reineke. Wolfe will reunite with her Last Five Years co-star Adam Kantor, who is also appearing on Broadway this fall, in the cast of the new musical The Band’s Visit.

They will appear with previously announced at the concert, which will pay tribute to female composers and lyricists, including Carole King, Tracy Chapman, Dolly Parton, Betty Comden, Mary Rodgers, Jeanine Tesori, and others.

The New York Pops will continue its 35th anniversary season with The Most Wonderful Time of the Year featuring Megan Hilty on December 15 and 16; Heart and Soul featuring James Monroe Iglehart and Capathia Jenkins on February 2, 2018; and The Best of Hollywood: Blockbuster Film Scores on March 9.

The New York Pops will also pay tribute to Broadway and film composer Alan Menken at its 35th birthday gala April 30.
