News Sara Bareilles Performs Songs from Waitress in Tonight's Sold-Out City Center Concert Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles, whose musical theatre debut Waitress will arrive on Broadway later this season, performs a one-night-only, sold-out concert of songs from the musical Nov. 5 at New York City Center.

An Evening With Sara Bareilles celebrates the release of her fifth studio recording, "What's Inside: Songs from Waitress," which features tunes from the forthcoming Broadway musical, as sung by the composer. It drops Nov. 6.

Waitress is scheduled to begin Broadway previews in March 2016 prior to an official opening night in April at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.

"I fell more deeply in love with the writing of the musical Waitress than I had ever imagined,” Bareilles said in a statement about the new album. "It proved impossible for me to imagine handing over the songs to the show before selfishly finding a way to sing them myself."
