She takes over for Tony winner Jessie Mueller, who will take her final bow March 26 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. The musical wrapped $1.2 million on the day of her announcement—the highest-performing day at the musical’s box office.

The 89th annual Oscars ceremony will also include an appearance from Hamilton mastermind Lin-Manuel Miranda, who will sing his Oscar-nominated Moana anthem “How Far I’ll Go.” The Color Purple Tony winner Cynthia Erivo is also set to sing at the Governors Ball, the official post-Oscars celebration.
