As previously announced, Bareilles will assume the role of Jenna in Waitress March 31. She takes over for Tony winner Jessie Mueller, who will take her final bow March 26 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. The musical wrapped $1.2 million on the day of her announcement—the highest-performing day at the musical’s box office.

The 89th annual Oscars ceremony will also include an appearance from Hamilton mastermind Lin-Manuel Miranda, who will sing his Oscar-nominated Moana anthem “How Far I’ll Go.” The Color Purple Tony winner Cynthia Erivo is also set to sing at the Governors Ball, the official post-Oscars celebration.
