Benny Sato Ambush directs his newly-conceived take on the classic drama July 11 at 7 PM at the Classic Stage Company space.

The one-night-only event stars Ramirez (Spamalot) and David (Jelly's Last Jam, Seven Guitars) in a cast that also features Duane Boutté (Parade), Leland Gantt (Ma Rainey'S Black Bottom), Johnny Lee Davenport and others to be announced.

Ambush sets the play in "1850's Rhode Island on a farm owned by the rigid, pious and lonely Ephraim Cabot — a dark-skinned black man," according to production notes.

She also appeared in the benefit concert of Dreamgirls and on television in "Hotel Project," "Baseball Wives," "NYPD Blue," "Law & Order: SVU," "Third Watch," and "Spin City."
