When Ramirez's character, Callie Torres, was injured during a car accident, she was left in critical condition. In an out-of-body experience, Torres expressed herself through song.


Ramirez visited the ladies of "The View" to talk about the process behind the music event. With the help of a vocal coach and musical director, the actress explained that the cast members felt very comfortable creating the episode.

"Grey's Anatomy" returns to ABC on April 28 with the episode entitled "It's a Long Way Back." The plotline for the new episode follows: "Everyone tries to help Callie and her baby recover; the death of a trial patient impacts Derek and Meredith in different ways."

"The View" offers a sneak peek into the return of the hit medical-drama.
