News Sarah Marshall, Jennifer Mendenhall, Kim Schraf Set for Theatre Lab's 24 Hour Dramathon Helen Hayes Award winner Sarah Marshall, Jennifer Mendenhall and Kim Schraf are among actors set to perform in readings of new plays by Washington playwrights at a 24 Hour Dramathon fundraiser, presented by Theatre Lab on May 20.

The late-night event, set to begin at 11 PM at Theater J in Washington, DC, will benefit Theatre Lab's "Send a Kid to Theatre Camp" campaign and will also include performances from Christopher Henley, Donna Migliaccio, Deidra Starnes, Craig Wallace and MaryBeth Wise. The actors, according to Theatre Lab, will "perform readings of outrageous new 10-minute plays written by Helen Hayes Award-winning playwrights including Ari Roth, Norman Allen, and Renee Calarco. The playwrights had just 24 hours to produce their works [and] the actors get one rehearsal."

The "Send a Kid to Theatre Camp" campaign by Theatre Lab will provide $63,000 in scholarships in 2011 for disadvantaged young people to take part in the company's nationally recognized drama camps.
