News Sarah Treem Will Adapt Memoir "Until I Say Good-Bye: My Year Of Living With Joy" for Universal Pictures Deadline.com reports that Susan Spencer-Wendel and Bret Witter's memoir "Until I Say Good-Bye: My Year Of Living With Joy" will be adapted for film by Sarah Treem.

The book follows Spencer-Wendel after she was diagnosed with the degenerative disease ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease, at age 44. The ailment destroys the nerves that power muscles, including the lungs, and Spencer-Wendel raced against time to complete the book.

Treem, an Emmy nominee for "House of Cards," has written and produced "How to Make It in America," "In Treatment" and "The Affair."
