As it did last year, the weekend edition of NBC News' "Today" show has been offering musical numbers from hit New York shows. Footloose, It Ain't Nothin' But The Blues and Peter Pan have already appeared, and many more are due from now through Oct. 2. According to a "Today" spokesperson, the actual production numbers aren't finalized until the day of the (live) show, but here are the scheduled shows and dates:
July 24: Ragtime
July 31: Smokey Joe's Cafe
Aug. 7: Phantom of the Opera
Aug. 14: Miss Saigon
Aug. 21: Stomp
Aug. 28: Les Miserables
Sept. 4: Cats
Sept. 11: Chicago
Sept. 18: Rent
Sept. 26: Jekyll & Hyde
Oct. 2: Kat And The Kings
All performances, which take place outside the show's Rockefeller Plaza studio, are broadcast during the last half hour of the program.
