On Aug. 4 the Tony-winning performer will offer Musical Me at the Opia Bar Restaurant Lounge. A stage that will extend into the audience is currently being built for Glover's one-night performance at the New York hotspot. Show time is 8:30 PM. Savion Glover made his Broadway debut in The Tap Dance Kid. He received a Tony Award for Best Choreography for Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk, which also brought him a Tony nomination for Best Actor in a Musical. Glover's other Broadway credits include Black and Blue (Tony nomination) and Jelly's Last Jam.
Opia Bar Restaurant Lounge is located in Manhattan at 130 East 57th Street at the corner of Lexington Avenue. Tickets are priced $40-$50, and there is also a $15 food/drink minimum. Call (212) 688-3939 for reservations.
