Directed by Marshall W. Mason, the Pulitzer Prize-winning play will officially open in the Matthews Theatre Oct. 17. Performances continue through Nov. 2.
Talley's Folly, according to the McCarter, is described as such: "On a moonlit night in 1944 Missouri, Jewish accountant Matt Freidman knows he has only one chance to win Sally Talley's heart. As they tip-toe toward love, the fragile pair must first confront her family's bigotry and their own tightly kept secrets."
The design team comprises John Lee Beatty (set design), Jennifer von Mayrhauser (costume design), Phil Monat (lighting design) and Chuck London (sound design).
The McCarter Theatre Center is located at 91 University Place in Princeton, NJ. Tickets, priced $15-$55, are available by calling (609) 258-2787 or by visiting www.mccarter.org.
