News   Schumacher's Updated "How Does the Show Go On?" Arrives in Stores Oct. 14 A new version of Thomas Schumacher's "How Does the Show Go On?," which is subtitled "An Introduction to the Theater," hits stores Oct. 14.

Schumacher — the Tony-winning producer of Disney's The Lion King, Aida, Mary Poppins and The Little Mermaid — offers an updated version of the 2007 tome that now includes the Broadway debut of Disney's The Little Mermaid and the national tour of High School Musical. Co-authored with Jeff Kurtti, "How Does The Show Go On?" gives young readers insight into the world of theatre, including a glossary of theatre terms, costume designer's sketchbook, an authentic Playbill® program and a front- and back-of-house guide, as well as the experience of a day in the life of a child performer.

The book, press materials state, "is a totally unique guide to what goes on behind the curtain.
